My very first beauty job training in the field was with Kerastase, a luxury hair division of L'Oreal. I didn't know anything about hair but the job was fairly easy because the product is the best out there. And the prices / accounts reflect this fact.
I went to salons all over LA, including Fred Segal's, Chris McMillan, Vidal Sassoon, Canele, etc. It was a great gig and when I outgrew it I got to move on to train for prestige color which is my passion.
In addition to starting my career as a trainer one of the nice benefits I got out of working for Kerastase is really great haircuts. I rarely process my hair and am trying to get away from chemicals across the board so a great cut / style is very important.
Living in the valley I've tried to find someone close and jumped on yelp. Remarkably my first visit I found an old friend from one of my Kerastase accounts.
Tonatzin's now at Free or Die in Atwater and she is an amazing stylist. Great to find you again my friend:)
